Today’s Word
The nation of Israel had wandered around in the desert for forty years, and God was about to take them into the Promised Land. But there were seven nations in their path that were much bigger and stronger. Moses didn’t know what they were going to do. In the natural, they could never defeat them. But God told them that He was going to go before them and clear out these nations. They were to remember how He miraculously delivered them from Pharaoh and to know that He would defeat the enemies before them.
You will face times when the odds are against you. It’s easy to think, “This sickness is much bigger than me. This addiction is much stronger than me. These people coming against me are much more powerful.” Don’t worry. God will go before you and clear the path. On your own you may be outnumbered. What you’re up against may be bigger, stronger, more talented, and have more resources, but you’re not on your own. The God who controls the universe says He will take care of your enemies.
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You for the strength that rises within me whenever I remember what You have done in my life and in others’ lives. Thank You for the times You opened doors that seemed closed and defeated problems that were far too big for me. I will not be afraid. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Before you accomplish the dream, the enemy will make sure there will be negative seeds. Before your health turns around, before your child gets back on course, before you break that addiction, there will be seeds of doubt, discouragement, can’t do it, not good enough, never going to happen. Don’t believe those lies. Turn it around and declare what God says about you. When thoughts tell you that you’ve seen your best days, nothing good is in your future. “Father, You said my latter days will be better than my former days. Surely goodness and mercy are chasing me down.” When thoughts tell you that your children will never get back on course and you should just accept it. “No, as for me and my house, we will serve the lord. My children are mighty in the land.” When thoughts tell you that you’re never going to have that baby. You’ve tried for so many years. “Father, You said You would make me the happy mother of children. Lord, I thank You that my baby is on the way.”
